Job Description

** Recovery Worker (Drug and alcohol misuse) **
** Luton, Bedfordshire **
** £23,218 - £26,983 **
** Permanent and full time **
** 37.5 hours per week **
** Hours generally tend to work 9am - 5pm during a week day and 10am - 3pm on a Saturday. Occasionally a late night until 8pm latest, although this would be very rare **
** Excellent understanding and experience of drug and alcohol misuse needed in a paid role **
** Closing date 12th June to interview on 22nd June **

BS Social Care are currently working in partnership with a well-established organisation who assist people through substance misuse related harm. This post is a permanent and full time role working 37.5 hours per week which will include Saturdays.

This service is to help anyone who is vulnerable and needs assistance with any aspect of their lifes.

About the job;
The post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at the service to deliver high quality provision by:
Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral
Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
? Promoting carer, service user and community involvement;
Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.
Trauma informed assessments
Evening and weekend working

About the ideal candidate; to apply for this role, you must have the following...

Experience of working in the substance misuse field.
A clear understanding of the need for, and ability to deliver, quality services.
A knowledge of integrated alcohol/substance misuse treatment.

For this permanent and full time role, you will be offered between £23,218.59 - £26,983.44 alongside benefits that will be discussed at interview stage.
