Job Description

Salary in the range of £20,000 - £23,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Maternity cover until August 2020

I am looking for a Recruitment Officer to work within a department which is a Part of The University of Manchester (www.manchester.ac.uk), this is a world-leading centre for excellence based at Alderley Park in Cheshire England, 15 miles from Manchester, a vibrant and dynamic city surrounded by beautiful countryside.

About the role:
We are currently looking for a Recruitment Officer within the HR Department to provide cover during a period of maternity leave. The aim of this post is to support all aspects of the recruitment process from advertisement through to appointment by providing a high quality, comprehensive and proactive recruitment support service to the Institute.

About you:
You should be educated to degree level (or have the equivalent relevant experience) along with experience of working in a busy HR Department. You should have previous experience of applying HR policy and practice to practical situations. You will have a basic knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation and its implications, including rights to work in the UK, data protection and equality legislation. Experience of working in a recruitment role within an academic environment or a not-for-profit organisation is desirable.
