** Registered Children's Home Manager **
** Working within a 4 bedded home working with children and young people aged 10 - 17 years EBD/ learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour **
** Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire **
** £39,000 DOE **
** Full time and permanent **


BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Registered Children's Home Manager to manage a 4 bedded home for service users aged 10 - 17 years with EBD/ learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour. This is a permanent and full-time role working 173 hours per month within the Hertfordshire/ Cambridgeshire area.

About the employer; this employer provides, residential homes, education, therapy and wrap around services to support children and young adults EBD/ learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour ensuring that they get the best outcomes for their young people.

About the job; you will play an essential role within this home ensuring all aspects of the service is well looked after. To be responsible for the day to day management and running of the home. To support and grow the team. Manage budgets/buildings and equipment. Carry out meetings with children/staff and agencies and provide supervisions and appraisals. To be a part of the recruitment process for new team members.

About the ideal candidate; we are looking for candidates that hold a Level 3 QCF Children and Young People and ideally a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (Or equivalent) or are willing to work towards it. You will be a strong leader who will be able to nurture the team and bring out all of your staff's potential. You will be approachable and naturally look after the staff/ service users. You will need to be able to deal with challenging behaviours, so resilience is key. To be able to do this role, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a residential children's setting and good Ofsted knowledge and be a driver.

For this full time and permanent role, we are offering a starting salary up to £39,000 dependant on experience working 173 hours per month with extra hours if needed due to the needs of the service. Benefits will be discussed on interview.
