BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Children's Registered Home Manager to work in a small home caring for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties aged 7 yrs - 17 yrs old. This role is an established 3 bed home. Currently home to 2 young males and is a beautiful old building set within farmland.

About the employer; this children's care company hold a good profile in providing a range of services which have resulted in outstanding outcomes for the young people in their care and our service is resourced to provide care to young people with issues such as:

Substance abuse
Eating disorders
Sexual exploitation
Emotional and behavioural difficulties
Learning difficulties
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Complex needs (Solo/dual placement homes)

Minimum qualifying criteria;
Candidates must have experience in children's residential care and must have the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare [or equivalent]. Ideally, they will hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare [or equivalent] - or be willing to work towards this as a priority. Driving would be essential.

Following a recent Ofsted inspection, the home has unfortunately received an 'inadequate' rating (previously 'good'). This would be an opportunity for a motivated and active Manager to really make a difference for the young people and staff. Given the demands of this role it's potentially better suited to an experienced Manager, however, we would also be open to Deputies looking to step up. We have 2 'Outstanding' and 2 'Good' homes, and we are dedicated to making a change in this home.

We encourage internal progress and development, and as a smaller company there is a lot of opportunity for Managers to have their say and get involved. Our current Operations Manager and two Regional managers have all been promoted internally from homes staff.

This is a full time and permanent role paying £29,000 - £40,000 and will be committed to staff training and development, as well as internal promotion. We have an in-house Dramatherapist to work with both the young people and staff. We have ambitious plans for growth and improving the services we provide. We offer in-person and online training, as well as access to funded personal and professional development courses at Level 2 [for example counselling skills, IT skills, etc].
