Registered Children's Manager (off shift)

Stockport

Up to £35,200 DOE

My client is currently recruiting for a registered children's manager to join their team based in Stockport. You will be running a 3 bed EBD service using your wealth of knowledge in the health and social care sector to run the day to day operations of the house, making sure that all users are as comfortable and well cared as possible and making sure you are getting the best out of your staff. You will be working on a 9-5 Mon - Fri basis, with this been an off shift role you will be required to be at hand if ever needed for the needs of the house this could be due to any emergencies/ or low staffing needs you may need to be on shift or supporting staff around the house. My client is looking for a Level 5 NVQ in leadership and management, You must be a driver with access to your own car and have been in a registered managers post within a children's residential setting.

Below are only a few main duties you will cover on a day to day basis;
" To provide vision and leadership to staff, ensuring that effective systems are in place for workload allocation and management, and the application of the company's policies and procedures.
" Undertake other duties appropriate to the post and the needs of the organisation in order to develop and maintain quality service.
" To maintain up to date knowledge of the statutory and procedural frame-work for residential care and communicate this to staff as appropriate.
" To maximise the effectiveness of Staff through motivation, development and the application of personnel Policies.
" Ensure that each young person has a plan which reflects his/her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, and therapeutic and health needs.
" Allocate a Key Worker for each young person with the principal responsibility of implementing the childcare plan
" Establish and monitor high quality standards of care in line with the Quality Standards for Children's Homes 2015 and the home's Statement of Purpose. Develop quality assurance measures to ensure these standards are maintained. Undertake positive internal and external QA inspection visits, and Regulation 44 inspection visits.
" To actively strive to achieve the best outcomes for the Young People, and achieve a positive Ofsted inspection of 'Good' or above.
