Location: Erdington, West Midlands
Salary: £55,000 per annum + overtime opportunities
Home: 3-bed Children's Residential (EBD)
Ofsted: Good
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up?

We are recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead a well-established 3-bed children's residential home in Erdington, supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable service with a Good Ofsted rating, where you can make a real difference to young people's lives while leading a dedicated team.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the home, ensuring:

  • High-quality, child-centred care is delivered at all times
  • The home remains fully compliant with Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations (2015)
  • Staff are effectively supported, supervised, and developed
  • Safeguarding is always at the forefront of practice
  • The home continues to improve and achieve positive outcomes for young people

You will lead from the front, creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team
  • Ensure safeguarding, risk management, and care planning are robust
  • Maintain compliance and prepare for Ofsted inspections
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
  • Monitor performance, quality, and service delivery

What We're Looking For

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or working towards
  • Experience within children's residential care
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
  • Confident leadership and decision-making skills
  • Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
