Are you looking for a full time Residential Support Worker job in Leeds?

I am seeking support workers for a charity that offers a range of autism-specific services for adults in the Leeds area. Our client provide support for people either in their own homes, community settings or one of their own facilities.

This client at its bases across the city provide and develop a range of services for adults with Autism and related conditions which are specialised, innovative of high quality and well resourced and continually seek to improve models of good practice which are internationally recognised. They aim to support services to experience life opportunities which encompass the above and promote the growth of individuals to their maximum potential.

The Job
This is a full time position approx. 37.5 hours per week. The hours are rota`d a month in advance on a shift system of approx. 07:30 to 15:00, 14:30 to 22:00 and 1-2 sleeps per week. Sleep ins are paid extra at £36.23 per night on top of your annual salary.

You will be working within a 8 bedded residential home for adults with Autism with additional support in a independent supported living house for 1 service user.

You will provide support to a group of vulnerable adults by supporting them in the development of essential skills in order to stimulate confidence, independence and enhance their quality of life. You will ensure the highest standards of support is provided to assist service users in overcoming the disabling effects of autism and other disabilities and support service users to experience life opportunities which encompass the above and promote growth of individuals to reach their maximum potential.

About you
I am looking for candidates with a positive, encouraging nature, good communication and effective organisational skills who will be flexible to respond to the changing needs of those we support and provide their rights.

Preferably you will have a NVQ in health and social care, personal qualities and previous experience with learning disabilities or autism and good knowledge of this sector.

Driving would be desirable.
