**Residential Support Worker**
**EBD Childrens Home**

**Driving license essential**

I am working with a growing childrens service provider in Corby. They have 2 homes and are currently working on opening a new home in a beautiful countryside location. They are specialists in provide care and support for children with EBD. They have a strong company ethos that all children deserve the very best, and so they are looking for Support Workers that always aim to deliver the highest quality support.

Good work ethic, self motivation and initiative are all really important attributes to this company. They are striving to combine a warm, homely, family feel environment with professional boundaries to ensure these children get the best support. The role will involve 1:1 support with the children, 2:1 support where applicable. You will need to be constantly engaging and trying to build relationships with the children in a patient manner to encourage them to interact and participate in activities, even it`s just as simple as having a conversation, or cooking dinner. You`ll also be upholding the standards of the home; doing the laundry including ironing, making sure the house is kept clean and tidy.

I am looking for someone is motivated, has a good work ethic and is working in care to really make a difference. I am looking for someone who is articulate, literate and can work on their own initiative to get things done. I need someone who is constantly wants to improve and is always looking to develop themselves.

You much have a minimum of 12 months experience in care. Ideally you will have at least 12 months experience working with children with EBD. If you have 2 years experience or more working with children, you will need to have a Level 3 Residential Children and Young People diploma or equivalent. Team Teach training is ideal.

You will need to have a current DBS registered to the online update service. If you don`t have this I can support you getting it.

Driving License is extremely desirable

£8.21 - £9.35 per hour + benefits
