Residential Support Worker

Job Description

B.S Social Care are currently recruiting for experienced Children Residential Support Workers to work Day and Night shifts within a semi-independent unit based in Harrow.

The private organisations purpose is to make a real and lasting difference for everyone they support. They provide a range of specialist support for young people aged 16+ years with Learning Disabilities.

The young people you will be supporting have Challenging Behaviour and Autism, they are independent but will need support when required which could be attending appointments, trying to help them back into the community, helping with school work, and assisting with any other outdoor activities. You will need to be confident with report writing and carrying out handovers to other members of staff.

The right candidate must have a person-centred approach and must always be engaging with the clients . You must have experience in control and restraint and must be trained in administering medication. If you are trained in supporting clients that have Diabetes this will be a plus but not essential.



To register with BS Social Care you will need a minimum of 2 years` experience working with Children and be able to supply 5 years referencing. An enhanced DBS will need to be completed which is a cost of £50 or if you have one on the update service then this can be accepted.
