I have a number of exciting job opportunities for Childrens Residential Support Workers to join a lovely and supportive childrens service in Nottingham which provides essential and valuable care to children and young people aged 8 to 17 years who have complex, mental health and EBD needs.
To be successful in this role you will ideally hold a QCF level 3 in Supporting Children and Young People.
You will be a pro active and focused person looking to work towards a formal childcare qualification. Experience working with children in a residential, outreach, community or youth work would be beneficial. Or working with young adults with learning disabilities but it is NOT essential that you do.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and making a positive impact on a childs life. You will need to have an open mind and be able to support children who may act and present you with challenging behaviour.
The role of a children residential support worker can be hard and difficult at times however it is the most rewarding career when you know you`ve made a positive impact on a childs life and future.
For your support and commitment, you will paid a salary of £17,004 to £18,310 a year plus a SLEEP IN ALLOWANCE of £35.00 per sleep which can take your salary up by £3000
You will also get a holiday allowance and pension plan, as well as career development and the opportunity to complete your QCF Level 3 if you haven`t already got this.
