Job Description

Waking Night Children`s Support Worker - 6 Month contract

Alvescot, Oxfordshire - £10-£12per hour

6 Month contract

40 hours per week - 4 on, 4 off

8pm/9pm - 7.30am/8am

Amazing opportunity someone looking for a role in care without committing to a permanent position. Employed through BS Social Care you will work for 6 months within a brand new 7 bedded children`s residential home. After this period, you will remain employed by BS Social Care and will be able to work with any of our well established clients within Social Care, suited to your availability.

Our client is a large care provider for children and young people via their residential homes and onsite schools. The children within these services have experienced traumatic starts to life which therefore requires very complex care and therapy which you can be a part of.

We are looking for resilient and hardworking candidates who have a `get up and go` attitude, who are passionate about the work they produce and want to be within this role for the right reasons. This role can be incredibly demanding and challenging, however, it is also a line of work that gives great job satisfaction and can really allow you to make changes within young people`s life`s.

About the job: Supporting children 8 years - 18 years old with emotional and behavioural difficulties alongside mental health issues, Autism, ADHD and some learning difficulties within the brand new residential home setting.

About the ideal candidate: It is essential you are a driver. You will have the ability to make written recordings, provide verbal reports, have knowledge of the needs of children and young people, have the ability to work as part of a team. Applicants must have good communication skills, hold high level of resilience and have the ability to build positive relationships with children and young people.
