Children's Residential Support Worker
Baccup
Up to £9 per hour + holiday pay + pension contributions

Support workers are required for ongoing/temporary jobs providing support and care to venerable children in various residential settings.
We are looking for experienced Support Workers to work with children with emotional and behavioural issues in a residential settings in Baccup and the surrounding areas. You will need to be caring, understanding a patient person to work with these young people. You will be supporting the children in their daily routines, getting involved in whatever activity that they have planned for that day and ensuring that they reach their potential! Your role is put a smile on their face.
Due to the needs of the young people we are looking for individuals that are experienced working with challenging behaviours and ideally have a form of de-escalation training or restraint.
Shifts are available Monday to Sunday and can be a mixture of days/nights/weekends. You have the added benefit of being in control of your own rota as shifts are flexible and can fit round any other commitments you may have.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 6 months practical experience within the care sector.
Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential. They will also have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
