Job Description

Are you a Support Worker currently seeking a new and exciting role? Do you have experience working with young people? If so then this Temp to Perm position might be the role for you...

Our client is based in Morley and is a Residential Home for 16 - 17 year old's. You will be helping young people transition into adult life after care and supporting them with everyday life.

You will be required to provide transport and conduct welcome inductions for service users, providing basic assessments to ensure all needs are met and regular reports. Some service users may have mental health issues and autism, so the ability to de-escalate situations and provide good interaction is essential.

Due to the nature of the role, all suitable candidates must have 2 years relevant experience working with young people or alternatively 6 months experience and an NVQ in Health & Social care. It is also essential you can provide 5 years worth of references, with any gaps accountable for.

The hourly rate of pay is a generous £8.84 per hour with holiday pay to accrue. There will be a full induction programme for this temp to perm role including buddying shifts and the opportunity to complete an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care for Children & Young People if desired.
