Job Description

Residential Support Workers - Semi-Independent Unit for young males

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Semi-Independent Unit for young males in the Merton area.
We are recruiting for experienced Residential Support Workers to support and deliver person centred care to Young People (16-24 years)

This is a semi- independent setting welcoming a safe and friendly environment which is a 24-hour service. The looked after young people receive support packages to help them to develop their independent skills through professional direct one to one work. As well as assisting them to achieve their goals and aspirations, make positive decisions and move on to build their lives the way they wish to live.

The shift patterns are based on 12 hours.

You must be trained and skilled to work with young people with EBD. Also possess experience dealing with issues such as offending, risk taking, absconding, bullying, self-harm, low self-esteem, eating disorders, changeling behaviour and OCD. You must also be experienced in report writing.

To register with BS Social Care, you will need a minimum of 2 years` experience and have a NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care working with Children & Young People and be able to supply 5 years referencing. You need to a have DBS registered on the update service or be willing to carry one out.
