Job Description

A well-established Education and Residential Service are recruiting for a Support Worker in Dorset. You will be supporting high functioning people Children & Young People between the age of 14 - 25 who have Autism, Aspergers, ADHD, anxiety and mental health who will display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Acting as a professional parent and role model
- Supporting clients through their morning, mealtime and evening routines
- General tasks such as budgeting, cleaning, laundry, shopping and collecting medication
- Encourage clients to do activities in their free time
- You may also work in a wide range of settings like classroom or outdoor curriculum (craft sessions, farm, gardening, sports and indoor swimming on site)
- No personal care will be required

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must be 18 years old and over
- You will be driving the company car, so you need to have a CLEAN driving licence

Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £19,110 - £20,529 per annum = £8.75 - £9.40 an hour
- Shifts will be 8am till 8pm (4 days on and 4 days off) - no sleeps
- Averages to 42 hours a week
- Chance to complete a free Diploma / NVQ / QCF qualification whilst you work
- Part time maybe considered depending on what hours and days you can do
