Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has become available to work as a Resources and Programmes Officer for a Government body on a temporary 3 month contract. It is working from home but if required to go in this would be in London. It is paying at £15.98 per hour and is initially for 12 weeks, with the potential to go permeant through them directly. They are looking for someone to start ASAP.

As Resources and Programmes Officer you will be responsible for tracking and reporting programme expenditure and process across the Directorate and translating this into effective management information. This is a people facing role where you will build strong relationships with managers and leaders to build high quality management information for resources required to support business outcomes.

This role will act as the focal point for tracking and reporting resource spend, allocation and profiling. It is a people facing role where behaviours of changing and improving, working together, communicating and influencing and delivering at pace are key to successful performance.

This role will develop and continuously improve finance and resource tracking processes by using project management skills, adopting departmental finance good practice and demonstrating the ability to build day to day relationships.

Key Responsibilities of the role

" Completion of the in-house spreadsheet to ensure all spend is clarified and up to date with noted next steps and mitigation.
" Working with a senior team to collate key information, chasing commissions, seeking assurance and sign off within deadlines as agreed with partners.
" Act as administrator for Rewards & Recognition Process and to communicate recommendations on awards to a Team and Director.
" Maintain records of finance decisions and profiles including invoices linked to Analytical professions iro Bids, payment for centrally allocated staff and professional membership fees
" Management of logs of Travel and Subsistence Requests and Gifts and Hospitality.
" Work out learning and development budget and Rewards & Recognition budget to advise directors on forecasting spend for each quarter.
" Maintenance and update of the Litigation Tracker liaising with responsible teams as and when required
" Hold responsibility as Health and Safety Representative for with regular meetings.
" Maintaining Resourcing inbox on a daily basis.

" Project management skills through day to day experience and good practice
" Building relationships with stakeholders and partners
" Ability to balance a varied workload, prioritising and communicating with team members as required
" Experience of working with internal communications channels and content.
" Ability to work with data and information to support planning and delivery of activities
" Experience of Microsoft Package

The following experience and skills are desirable:
" Experience of liaising with finance business partners and business unit finance procedures and processes
