Job Description

Brook Street is now seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to work within a hotel based in the picturesque Highland village of Beauly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take their next step in their hospitality career. As a Restaurant Supervisor you will be responsible for assisting the restaurant manager with the day-to-day operations and ensuring high levels of customer service.


The Role:
o Assisting the Restaurant Manager with the management of the dining room team, ensuring the smooth running of all dinner operations.
o To ensure that guests receive an efficient, friendly, consistent and personalised service from yourself and all members of the team.
o Supervise service of breakfast, lunch or dinner; and assist with allocating guests to their tables, offer menus, take orders, serve food and beverages and clear tables etc.
o Carry out food and beverage duties in the Restaurant, Bar and Events Department including Weddings, Anniversaries and Conferences.
o To assist in the set up in the restaurant before service, ensuring all required items are stocked and ready.
o Responsible for all payments received and monies in your possession from food service.
o Development of the team through training, guidance and communication.
o Management of all statutory and company regulations relating to health & safety, hygiene, fire and emergency procedures.
o To ensure that the dining room security is maintained at all times.

The Person:
o Previous experience of working in a similar supervisory role would be preferred, but we will consider applications from an experienced Food and Beverage Assistant looking for their first supervisory role.
o Experience working with large volumes in a four star hotel environment is essential.
o No formal qualifications necessary, but some form of hospitality training such as SVQ, NVQ would be beneficial.
o Strong customer service and time management skills, an attention to detail and good communication skills are vital.
o Must be self-motivated and a natural leader.
o Must be smart and well presented.
