Job Title - Residential Support Worker
Location - Ebbw Vale
Salary - £23,600 inc per annum
Hours - 24 hour shift rotas

The role:

An exciting job opportunity has arisen in the Ebbw Vale area to work in a children`s residential home as a residential support worker. You will be working alongside a lively team supporting the young people in the home.

This is a 6 bedroom house. You will be supporting them in their day to day lives helping them to reach their full potential. You will be looking to create a homely setting to which the young people can identify with. You will be contributing to creating a safe environment and supporting the team to keep up the standards of the house. You will be looking to develop the home and child to become an integrated part of the community.

What you will need:

To be considered for this role you will need a QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People. You will need to have at least 2 years experience in a children`s residential home with a clean driving licence. You will need a good understanding of key working, risk assessments, placement plans, self harm, attachment disorders, and ability to manage challenging behaviours both physical and emotional. Any knowledge you have of CSE and self harming would be advantageous when applying for this role.
