Job Description

We have a great new opportunity available in Chelmsford working for a publishing and events as an Account Manager. This role would see you reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing for the company and offers plenty of incentives in the workplace.

As an Account Manager, it would be your responsibility to Achieve monthly targets set by cross selling media products (including print, digital and events) to increase the revenue streams of each. You would also need to generate new business by sourcing own leads and building relationships. This would be with C-suite decision makers and / or marketing departments through cold-calling so you will need to be able to effectively establish a rapport with people quickly. You will also need to ensure that KPI`s are met, including call times, lead generation and number of qualified pitches made per day. As well as developing new business, you will also see to the development of existing accounts and work alongside the sales manager in order to grow the department.

In return, you will be provided with an annual salary of £18,000 to £24,000 dependent on your experience and the OTE`s for this role are £35,000 to £40,000 realistically. They also have a strong training plan in place to ensure you will be confident and successful in the role and offer a supportive environment with usual benefits including holiday.

For this role, our client is looking for candidates with a minimum of 1 years B2B sales experience (media/events preferred but not essential) selling to board level/marketing departments. You will need to be confident consistently achieving and exceeding targets and have a genuine passion or sales. Your sales experience will also need to be stable and it is preferred all with one company to show you can work under pressure and retain a job in this tough industry. In terms of personality, you must be confident, personable and highly organised as you will work on multiple duties simultaneously.
