Job Description

My client is a fast growing, and highly successful producer and distributor of speciality foods. They supply to a nationwide network of customers from the smallest farm shops, to restaurants and food manufacturers.

THE ROLE

My client is seeking a Regional Sales & Operations Support to join their Worcester office. Your role will be to provide administrative and sales support to the Regional Sales Managers whilst also helping to increase the frequency and quality of sales data and analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is fairly numbers orientated with strong computing who is looking to progress into future Sales or Operations roles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Preparation and assistance in the distribution of Regional Price Lists
  • Weekly reporting on low or negative margins, expiring special prices & new accounts
  • Running ad-hoc sales reports and preparing presentations for the Regional Sales Managers
  • Collation of benchmarking data (competitor pricing) to improve the competitivity of our pricing
  • Special price management (e.g. expiring, unused, more expensive than list price)
  • Generating sales reports in various formats, e.g. monthly sales league tables
  • Organising vehicle leasing, fuel cards and insurance for the Regional sales fleet
  • Providing centrally based support for the remote sales team and supporting the distribution of samples
  • Managing the margin calculator & uploading prices for Regional Sales Managers
  • Collation of monthly expenses forms for the Regional Sales team
  • Organising and taking minutes/preparing data for regional sales meetings
  • Monitoring minimum order values to provide feedback for the Senior team
  • Collating order and credit data monthly to support the Regional Operations Analyst
  • Weekly admin of auto-routing for the company's Electronic Proof of Delivery System
  • Housekeeping of account set ups

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • English & Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Strong IT skills i.e. a great understanding of the Microsoft Office package
  • Good mathematical skills e.g. percentage calculations
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships over the telephone
  • Possess a strong 'can-do' attitude with a confident approach to ownership and accountability
  • A team player, as well as the ability to work independently
  • A willingness to travel e.g. supplier visits
  • Knowledge of Vlookups and Pivot Tables
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills and the ability to work through difficult scenarios independently whilst also knowing when to seek assistance and escalate
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to prioritise conflicting demands

SALARY AND WORKING HOURS

Monday - Friday / 9am - 5.30pm

Salary is £23,000 per annum

12-month FTC, opportunity to be made permanent at the end of contract
