Job Description
.
Our client is a global provider of precision laser micromachining solutions, delivered as both production equipment and sub-contract laser processing services.
Sales Engineer due to organic growth.
The role would be office-based working from its headquarters in South East England.
Working as part of a small team the person would need to be self-motivated with a "Can do" attitude.
You will be tasked with maximising sales revenue through sales-oriented activities including adding value to products, support of sales promotions and marketing activities.

Fluent in English
Good problem solver with analytics skills
Self-motivated; ability to operate autonomously with limited supervision to develop sales leads into orders.
Team player
Good communicator with good telephone manner. Not afraid to make cold calls
Organised
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Understands principles of Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Ability to learn the technology of the company's products and relate these to the customers' requirements.
Ability to travel internationally and hold a driving licence valid in UK.
Experience
Expected to be graduate with at least 2 years industrial experience
This role would suit someone with either:
- a Technical Sales & Marketing or Product Line Management background, with ability to comprehend, appreciate and present sophisticated technical benefits in the laser machining sphere, or
- a technical or Applications Engineering background, but with strong interest and skills in sales and marketing
- we are looking for someone with a strong technical background or science degree - someone who is transitioning from a Process Engineer to a sales role would be ideal
Role
Direct sales of Company's fiber-processing machines & services
Direct sales of Company's non-fiber machines & processes
Account management
Preparation of proposals & presentations to industrial customers and at conferences
Liaison with customer - understanding their success criteria (what is important and what isn't, not just what's on the drawing), and managing their expectations and activity to maximise the outcome.
Preparation of marketing collateral (Datasheets, videos, samples)
Help to prepare and maintain sales forecast.
Finding and generating new opportunities in targeted markets
Attend and walk relevant exhibitions
Maintain sales meeting minutes and record information in CRM
