Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in the Newtownabbey area, a leader in the industrial distribution market, to recruit a Sales Office Manager.

The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager your role will be to manage the efficient running of the internal sales team. You will be responsible for a small but successful team.

Key tasks include:

* Deputising for the Operations Manager including dealing with escalations and key decision making in their absence
* Setting and working within budgets, ensuring the location is profitable. Monitoring and reporting monthly site performance and any variances to the Operations Manager
* Supporting our sales growth plan, including having a good understanding of new and organic business that is being progressed through the Quotation Portal and Quotation Log.
* Managing and supporting the team through to success
* Chairing kingpin meetings for new business introduction - working with the BDM and the Regional Sourcing/Purchasing Manager as required
* Effectively manage the business through written off stock sales, price increases (where necessary), cost model output and corrective actions
* Working closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that all orders are dispatched daily and all orders are invoiced in accordance with best practice
* Creating and achievement of sales performance related KPIs
* Motivating and leading the sales team. Hold regular meetings with the sales team and drive a strong team working ethos
* Managing the office team and their personal development including carrying out performance reviews
* Ensuring a high level of customer service, including carrying out customer visits and presenting to them where required
* Ensuring overdue payment issues are pre-empted and resolved swiftly by the account management team
* Maintaining and managing all targets and stock levels
* Working closely with other inter-company departments to ensure the smooth running of the business

Criteria

* It is important that you lead by example.
* You must possess a strong B2B sales background and previous managerial experience is essential.
* You must demonstrate that you can deliver outstanding customer service, possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written, be a keen team player that has a 'can do' attitude and most importantly have a positive outlook towards the Company's future and vision.

The site has a small successful team both in the Warehouse and Office who often must wear many hats to get the job done. It is important that the successful candidate has an open and professional manner, believes in and promotes our "one team" approach and is prepared to go the extra mile when required.
