Job Description
ther duties will include:
Undertake reception duties, answering general telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
Provide a welcoming, efficient, responsive, and helpful service when answering telephone calls. Ensuring calls messages are forwarded accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc.
Assist in arrangements for schools' trips, events etc as required
Provide general clerical/admin. support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, complete standard forms
Respond to routine correspondence
Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems
Produce lists/information/data as required e.g. pupils' data
Undertake typing and word-processing and other IT based tasks
Take notes at meetings
Sort and distribute mail
Undertake administrative procedures
Maintain and collate pupil reports
We are looking for a receptionist / administrator in a Secondary School in the City!
This will be on a rolling temporary contract Monday to Friday
Please only apply if you hold (or can hold) an enhanced DBS - preferably on the update service
Use of Sims is advantageous
Maintain accurate student records in SIMS.net
To provide administrative assistance in the maintenance of medical records and assist with the administration of medicines as required
Action tasks prioritised using SAMMS ticketing system
Provide organizational support for whole school events and Senior Leadership Team meetings including room bookings, refreshments and resources, administration support in line with events in the school calendar
Operate relevant equipment/ ICT packages including SIMS, Word, Excel, Databases, Spreadsheets, Internet, Office etc
Maintain stock/stationery within an agreed budget, cataloguing/documenting resources and undertaking audits as required
Provide general advice and guidance to staff, pupils and others
Assist with marketing and promotion of the school as required
