My client within the Education sector are looking for a Secretariat Administrative Officer for an ongoing temporary position starting immediately.
To provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Secretariat team with minimum supervision and ensuring that work conforms to the agreed quality standard, guidelines and procedures.
Job role - (This is not exhaustive)
" Providing professional support around the administration of External Examiners as directed by the relevant Secretariat Officer.
" Providing confidential financial support in administering the Secretariat budget, including the processing of invoices and other financial documentation using the University`s financial management system, always seeking to maximise value for money.
" Providing professional clerical support to Secretariat staff including mail management, filing, photocopying, the uploading of e-files to the Secretariat`s Portal and Wordpress sites and data input.
" Proactively maintaining and monitoring the Secretariat archive and stock and reporting equipment faults in a timely manner.
" Management of Secretariat`s Compliance and Freedom of Information inboxes
Role Requirements -
" Administrative or clerical work in an office environment with a focus on excellent service delivery
" Working with finance software packages
" Highly computer literate e.g. Microsoft or equivalent
" Excellent written and oral communication skills with accuracy and attention to detail
" Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload and work independently
" Effective and demonstrable problem-solving skills
" Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
" Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to complex queries and challenging situations
This is a temporary ongoing full time Monday-Friday position 8:30-5pm.
Start off at £8 an hour which will then rise after 12 weeks.
