Job Description

I am looking to recruit a Part time Legal Secretary for a company in the centre of Warwick.

The hours of work can be flexible however ideally they will be - Monday to Friday 9 - 5. The salary is £20,000 - £22,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience.

The main responsibilities of the role are to make contact with clients a high priority and convey a high degree of courtesy and responsiveness to their needs. Work as a team member with fee earners, other team members, support staff and management and project a united team and Company. Be able to anticipate problems and difficulties that may arise and be ready and able to deal with them. Provide a quality and sensitive service to clients.

Daily duties include
Provide an accurate and timely word-processing and filing service to fee earner(s)/manager(s)/team
Provide information from client files and other sources as required by the fee earner(s)/manager(s)/team, including filing and use of the computer database as appropriate
Answer telephone calls promptly, dealing with messages, and eliciting help from the fee earner(s)/manager(s)/team as necessary.
Consult with the fee earner(s)/manager(s)/team in setting up and maintaining an efficient system of diary management
Set up and maintain an "immediate-access" record of current cases together with associated information about the clients, such that when dealing with those clients this conveys a personal but professional, efficient, warm and friendly interaction.
Ensure that the Company's procedures are followed in respect of:
- casework and file management
- file supervision and audit.


Our ideal candidate will have strong Legal Secretary knowledge however candidates with good secretarial experience within other industries will also be considered.
