Job Description
We have an incredibly exciting opportunity to work within a prestigious central government department to support with UK Security Vetting
ROLE: Executive Officer Grade £12.40 per hour
LOCATION: Work From Home/Fully remote
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Approximately 6 months but with the possibility of extension
START DATE: First intake is mid March
Core day to day duties
* Conducting interviews on behalf of UK Security Vetting
* Production of high quality reports generated from interviews
* Assess casework and decide whether identified risks can be successfully mitigated, referring to vetting policy
* Assessing/analysing enquiries in the form of a written recommendation/decision about how to proceed
* Refer to appropriate channels in respect of higher risk cases.
* Management of your own work queues for each of the above areas
* Administrative support to resourcing and coordination of training for delivery
Key Skills/Experience
* You will need to be curious and inquisitive, probing for information where appropriate to understand an individual's behaviour and reasoning in certain situations
* Ability to quickly create a safe environment, building good rapport with interviewees to enable confidential and sensitive information to be shared
* Be professional at all times reflecting integrity and honesty with customers and interviewees alike
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated and organised, with a high level of resilience
* Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
* Working Knowledge of Google Workspace/Microsoft Office and strong data processing skills
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Attention to detail and discretion are essential. Confidentiality is paramount in safeguarding the personal information being processed
* Ability to plan, manage and coordinate resourcing and training schedules.
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience in a customer facing environment
* Previous experience interviewing
* Previous experience in the personnel security environment and risk identification
* Previous experience of case management and analysis
* Previous experience of report writing
* Previous experience supporting resourcing and training coordination
