Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our client in the public sector. This role will be predominantly home based with an initial visit to collect the work laptop.

The Senior Financial Accountant will be expected to work within the Health Board for 3-6 months.

Set agenda and agree with Committee Chair
Write quarterly Finance report
Update and monitor charity Risk Register
Prepare Funding Applications
Update Reserves Policy
Review papers in conjunction with Committee Chair
Write and Present all non-Fundraising papers to the Committee
Oversee preparation of papers
Plan dates for future meetings and maintain membership
Produce the accounts and working papers
Key link with Welsh Audit Office - agree any amendments and issues reported
Calculate and input to the charity ledger the quarterly investment movements
Present to the Board at the yearly Trustee meeting
Write and deliver Fund Advisor training
Member of Charitable Funds TAG
Key link with Investment Managers
Key link with Fundraising Manager/Team
Approval of Oracle orders
Approval of online bank payments / Gift Aid claims / credit card purchases
Maintenance of charity's intranet page
Maintenance of Charitable Funds Financial Procedures
Write Monitoring Return narrative report
Write F&P narrative report (including slide pack)
Write Health Board narrative report
Attendance at month end meeting
Assist with ad hoc queries around the reports
Prepare the Remuneration Report
Prepare the Remuneration Relationship accounts note
Member of TAG Task and Finish Group: Staff Remuneration
