Job Description

The role is full time Monday to Friday - office hours.

Our client based in St. Andrews Business Park in Norwich is seeking an experienced Executive Officer to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis until December 2022.

This role supports the Commercial Delivery Director (CDD) and the Business Manager. The role supports the day to day work of the Management Office.

The role will include but will not be restricted to;

Providing full support to the Director with responsibility for full management of their diary, coordinating the day and ensuring it runs smoothly - having an understanding of the purpose of, background to and priority of each meeting.

All travel, accommodation bookings and expenses

Working with the Business Manager to ensure urgent issues are picked up, understood, managed and resolved.

Meeting and greeting visitors.

Providing support in meetings by taking minutes/actions, and taking these forward as necessary and until conclusion

Ensuring papers are thorough and are available well in advance with any important points highlighted.

Preparing response to presentations, amending subs and briefings as required

Managing internal and external correspondence and taking forward issues were appropriate by applying initiative and interpreting guidelines and policies.

Liaising effectively with other senior managers secretaries both internally and throughout Whitehall, building good working relationships through regular contact.

Providing ad hoc support to other SMT members

Overseeing departmental accommodation and ensure it meets the Directors requirements

Ensure the Director team mailboxes are regularly checked and are in order with appropriate flagging, categories and emails filed correctly.

Handling ad hoc projects and being highly flexible to the business needs. The post holder will be required to follow relevant government functional standards and other related requirements and guidance.

The client is seeking someone with previous senior administration experience and PA experience is desirable but not essential.

The rate of pay is £10.80 an hour, rising to £10.91 after a period of 12 weeks. Holiday entitlement and pension scheme available.
