Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is currently recruiting a Senior Business Accountant on behalf of our Belfast

As the Senior Business Accountant, you will be the key business partner to the Executive Director and Senior Managers in Northern Ireland, providing expert advice and support on financial matters and ensuring they have the relevant analysis to make effective business decisions.

You will proactively support financial awareness and provide guidance and training to ensure compliance with the group financial regulations, accounting best practice, and statutory obligations. You will have a high level of technical accounting expertise and be able to demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills.

You will be responsible for managing the provision of accurate, timely and relevant monthly management reports to budget managers, work closely with them to deliver quarterly forecasts and regular budget reviews, and contribute executive summary information to the Manager Business Accounts.

Together you and your team will provide high quality customer support covering a wide range of financial and business issues with an understanding of operational departments' priorities and pressures.

You will nurture effective two-way communication with the directorate's senior management team, and with stakeholders across the Group. Your pro-active approach to business issues including the development of integrated financial and business plans will help us maintain a sustainable, member-led organisation with the capacity to deliver our mission effectively, efficiently and in accordance with our values and core objectives.

To succeed in this role, you will hold a recognised CCAB qualification or equivalent, be able to demonstrate excellent management accounting and communication skills and have significant experience in other finance department roles. You will bring to the role a desire to continuously improve financial processes, keeping value for money at the forefront for new and current business initiatives across the directorates and sharing these improvements with your colleagues in the Group Finance Team.

Salary - £58, 017 pro rata
