Brook Street are looking for a Senior Buyer to join an ever growing business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join a rapidly growing business. The position is of key importance within the organisation and the successful candidate must be able to deal with change, adapt quickly and be able to work as part of a small close-knit team in a fast-moving environment. The successful candidate will have experience of industry standard purchase software platforms and be able to put utilise knowledge to streamline processes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring products are delivered on time
Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales
Reacting to changes in customer demand
Reviewing outstanding orders on a weekly basis
Liaising with distributors to ensure orders are received on time
Assist in monitoring product stock levels, organising and sending daily online orders, check purchase price, quantity, pack spec and line value
Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
Pitching ideas to senior management
Getting feedback from customers
Attending Trade Events
Experience and skills (Essential)
Knowledge of Sage200 (or equal industry standard purchase software platforms)
Previous track record of buying competence
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbally
Independent and highly self-motivated
Proactive approach to learning
Excellent computer skills
Full UK driving licence
