Job Description
We`re doing our best to reach all our staff wherever they may work so we`re implementing some new methods of communication and have decided to bring in a Senior Channels Manager to help lead the way.
For at least 6 months on a FTC.
This is a Public Sector position based in Central London as such comes with a great salary package and Pension Scheme.
Initially on a 6 month FTC we want you our new Senior Channels Manager to take on internal comms with our various teams. The job will include………..
Develop a best practice internal communications channel approach, that is insight-led and focused on reaching our people, wherever they work. This includes:
" Establishing a clear purpose and objectives for each channel within an overall channels` matrix, segmented by audience
" Leading the implementation of several new channels and assisting the Head of Internal Communications in prioritising channels based on impact to the organisation - this includes, but not limited to, Yammer, MS Teams, Peakon and a new mobile-accessible intranet.
" Deputise for the Head of Internal Communications on all Channels decisions and meetings, where appropriate
" Be a key member of the IC senior leadership team, providing constructive challenge and advice to the Head of IC
" Identify opportunities for continual improvement to reach, making sure we adopt best practice and are a forward-looking IC team
" Create compelling visuals e.g. video and infographics
" Work closely with the wider IC Team to ensure that our content is compelling and connects colleagues to our purpose in the best way
" Own ways to amplify employee voice - particularly fostering employee networks and growing their membership - to grow communities and harness a genuine two-way conversation
" Lead on the implementation of a new intranet, providing critical expertise that meets the requirements of our varied audiences
" Drive and embed a robust insight and audience-based approach across the team, with ownership of an insight dashboard, to support insight-led conversations with stakeholders
" Work closely with the wider IC team to ensure a consistent and impactful best practice channel approach with robust measurement built into all directorate and project communication plans and campaigns
" Coach leaders and colleagues on best practice to advise on the most appropriate way to reach their audiences
Our Idea candidate will have……
" Significant experience in Internal Communications advising senior stakeholders
" Experience of developing channels for disparate workforces, with a clear understanding of their unique communication challenges
" Experience of successfully implementing and growing an Employee Social Network, preferably Yammer
" Experience of leading the implementation of a new intranet including: scoping, writing the business case, content audit, implementation, launch, post-launch updating and continual improvement
" Extensive experience of designing and implementing a multi-channel matrix segmented by audience
" Extensive experience of using analytics to influence decision-making
" Demonstrable record of influencing, challenging and building relationships with stakeholders
