Job Description

Brook Street (UK) Ltd are delighted to be recruiting Senior Clerical Officer's for our leading Public Sector client Education Authority Northern Ireland located in Kinnego Alternative Education, Dungannon.

This role will be starting immediately and is expected to last several months. Most roles across Northern Ireland, we have placed candidates into with The Education Authority Northern Ireland have been extended beyond the original time-frame, some of our candidates have secured promotions within the organisation, and others have been successful in securing fixed-term contracts directly with our client.


As Senior Clerical Officer, you will perform effective administrative duties for the daily functional and operational staff within Post-Primary Behaviour Support Department. You will be responsible for the weekly processing of Payments, on a computerised system, in respect of all non-salary expenditure.

You will be proficient in MS Packages such as Excel, Outlook, and Word. You will be confident in the daily use of spreadsheets and databases and will conduct calculations, word processing duties and financial reports as necessary.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report
- Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
- Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required
- Acting as administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
- Preparing routine correspondence
- Complete weekly filing and sorting/distributing of office mail
- Complete Senior Clerical Officer duties required by the programme manager


Typical qualifications and experience:
- Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
- Suitable administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills, both oral and written

The rate of pay is £10.29 per hour, the shift pattern is Part-time, 3 days per week 9am-5pm.
