In order to ensure that each Topic landing page on Westlaw UK has an associated Overview Article a number of these high-level articles have to be completed, which provide customer with overviews of a particular areas of law
The General Editor ("GE") will prioritise key articles and the contractor will work with GE to:
(a) add detail as directed to articles completed in outline by GE; and
(b) produce first drafts of other articles as directed by GE and revise as necessary following feedback from GE.
Key skills required:
(1) ability to conduct fast and accurate research at high-level into new areas of law, using Westlaw UK tools;
(2) ability to write clearly and concisely, and to summarise large or complex issues in a form that is easy to assimilate, making good use of links to lower level materials;
(3) willingness and ability to liaise closely with GE (Daniel Greenberg; Counsel for Domestic Legislation, House of Commons; editor, Craies on Legislation, Stroud's Judicial Dictionary, and Jowitt's Dictionary of English Law; General Editor, Westlaw UK Annotated Statutes and Topics).
