My client are a major supplier of analgesics to the British pharmacy and grocery sectors throughout the UK. Through a consistent program of investment and innovative management, they have become one of the UK`s specialist pharmaceutical manufacturing and contract packers. By controlling growth we are able to respond quickly to the needs of their customers, giving them the first to market advantage.They are a long established company, trading and manufacturing in the UK for over 35 years.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their engineering team.They are seeking an experienced time served Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join the team.

About the role:
Along with reactive and planned maintenance to the plant, the shift engineer would be responsible for the development and implementation of line improvements. They would also be required to work closely with the team leaders, and management to ensure targets are met on safety, output, quality, efficiency, energy and waste.
The Shift Engineer would also be involved in any new installations, and would be expected to communicate with the Manager on all production and engineering issues.

Skills/Experience
The desired candidate would need to have key engineering skills, preferably within an FMCG environment, and would need the following attributes:
Good practical and technical skills
Must be computer literate (excel/MS office/outlook etc.)
Communication skills
An understanding of engineering drawings and principles
The ability to work quickly and under pressure
The ability to manage a varied workload
Good problem-solving skills
The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team
An awareness of health and safety legislation
Experience within the pharma industry ideally.
You will be required to do the following shift pattern.
Week 1: mon-thurs: 0600-1600 fri: 0600-1400
Week 2: mon-thurs: 1800-0600
Making it a 48 hour week.
The salary is up to £40K and benefits include free car parking ,pension and a 3-5% annual bonus based on company performance.
