Job Description

A well-established reputable school is now recruiting for a Senior Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in Thornbury, Bristol. You will be working with children between the age of 6 - 19 year olds who have special educational needs (SEN), Autism, OCD, epilepsy and will display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Accompany a pupil or pupils to events, activities, gatherings and festival both on and off-site
- Maintain an overview and ordering of classroom resources
- Carry an overview of all individual pupils
- Overview LSA's and offer guidance, advice & support
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans, deliver lessons and write evaluations
- Support Festivals and events held at the school
- Offer full personal care (in some cases just prompt)

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have previous experience with learning disabilities / SEN
- Need to have level 3 in learning / Education / Teaching or similar qualifications

Contract / terms:
- Salary is £17,345 - £18,422 per annum
- Mondays to Friday (40 hours a week)
- Shifts are: 8:30am - 5pm with 30mins lunch
- You will work 41 week out of 52 weeks per years
