Job Description

We are recruiting for a Senior People Business Advisor to join a busy team within the NHS on a temporary basis, based within Epsom.

Reporting to the Head of People, you will be leading the HR team in providing an efficient HR Advisory service to department heads, within the Surrey region.

This is an immediate temporary requirement, initially to support on a 2-month basis however, there is a strong chance that this will then be extended.

Core duties include:
- Supporting line management with issues relating to workforce
- Identify, develop and deliver an HR training & development programme and coach line managers to increase knowledge base and develop skills
- Devise, implement and govern HR policies and procedures within the group to ensure practices align
- Manage the HR Resourcing Officers and oversee all rostering and recruitment functions and be forward thinking with recruitment campaigns to continue to attract the best talent
- Manage disciplinary processes including attending and leading hearings, giving advice, preparing case work etc.
- Oversee the following areas:
* Recruitment and Selection
* Employee Relations including discipline, grievance, redundancy, redeployment and capability
* Sickness and other absence
* Pay and conditions of service
* Performance Management and annual appraisals
* Employee health and wellbeing
* Flexible Working
* Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
* Training and Development
* Employment Law
* Organisational change and restructuring
* Parental leave entitlements, e.g. maternity
* Talent management and succession planning
* Staff engagement and involvement
* Job Evaluation

This is an immediate temporary requirement, initially to support on a 2-month basis however, there is a strong chance that this will then be extended.

Due to the urgency of this position and the post initially covering a 2-month period, we require a candidate who has had exposure in leading a team within an operational HR function, supported with recruitment and preferably has a good understanding 'ESR' or a payroll systems.

Hours of work: full time - 37.5hrs per week, based within Epsom, Surrey

Pay Rate: Band 7 role: £23.37 - £26.75 (FTE £45,571 - £52,162.50/annum pro rata.), paid weekly in arrears.
