Brook Street is delighted to be recruiting ob behalf of our client in the North West who are a rapidly expanding, award winning digital agency. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic full-time Senior PHP Developer who is dedicated to the craft, one writes code that they are proud of and can hit the ground running.

You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities

* Writing clean, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way
* Producing detailed specifications;
* Troubleshooting, testing and maintaining the core product software and databases
* Experience of working with MySQL or other Relational Databases
* Experience of developing Web-based applications
* Experience of Developing APIs.
* Experience of working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
* Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
* Follow industry best practices
* Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
* Mentor junior developers

Requirements

* 5+ Years proven software development experience in PHP
* Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc
* Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
* Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
* Degree in Computer Science or a related subject
* Experience of Developing APIs (preferred)
* Experience of working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (preferred)


Salary will be determined at interview stage and based on previous experience
