Job Title: Senior Planner

Location: Barnsley

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 - 17:00

Flexibility around the above hours is essential due to the nature of the role and business. This role will also involve weekend work on a rota basis.

You could be working for an industry leading company. You will be responsible for the day to day site planning function for daily factory operations.

Main duties include:

Manage the on-site planning teams to deliver daily factory plans.

Ensure the timely ordering of packaging and raw materials to fulfil customer orders.

Challenge and analyse forecasts.

Generate the 26-week sales forecast.

Work with the IT department to ensure the smooth operation of factory data capture processes.

Identify and implement improvements.

Ongoing training and development of your team.

Carry out appraisals of your team in a timely manner.

Liaise with Purchasing and the production planners to control capacity and strategic planning.

Stock control of feedstock and finished goods stock ensuring that technical restrictions are adhered to.

What's needed from you?

A proven track record of your brilliance is essential. Degree Qualified is ideal however if you have clear experience in a similar role, we'd love to speak with you!

You should also have a high degree of competency in IT literacy, communication, responsiveness, multitasking, and be comfortable working under pressure. You must posses above average numeracy capability and have comprehensive knowledge of technical and legal matters. Sound knowledge of data processing systems and proven experience of leading and motivating a team.
