B.S Social Care are currently recruiting two Senior Play Worker to lead a team to help assist children and young people to gain more independence.

This a a temp to perm role, working 24 hours per week.

To lead after school club and Saturday club for children with disabilities and a small team of support workers.

The project is a fully inclusive before/after and holiday school facility mainly catering to children and young people with Autism, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour based near Brixton / Streatham in South West London.

Main purpose of post

To delivery linking or club play services through quality activities for service users and their carers, always ensuring that high quality services and safety are paramount.


Key tasks to be undertaken in delivering the main purpose of the post

1 Take the day-to-day lead in the operation of individual club activities.

2 As appropriate, undertake linking or club activities in support of service users.

3 Deploy a range of childcare, play or support skills as part of an activities programme.

4 Supervise children and young people on outings and other external activities.

5 Drive approved vehicles or accompany service users on public transport as needed.

6 Ensure all play and other equipment is clean and in good repair.

7 Any other duties that may be necessary or appropriate

8 You must be able to lead a team


You should have a minimum of 6 months recent experience working with children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour ideally within a similar after school or education setting and a childcare qualification.


5 years reference and DBS will be required before starting.
