Job Description

SENIOR Support Workers WANTED!


Are you experienced, passionate and friendly person, who wants to make a positive improvement in people`s life?

Would you like to be part of a lovely team within a well-established service?

Do You like to make difference by support adults and young people with dementia, learning disabilities or challenging behaviour?

Your answer is YES, great!

Would be useful if you have all statutory and mandatory training, Diploma.

Purpose:
By listening and understanding what matters most to people living in the home you will deliver the highest standards of exceptional safe care and support maintaining their privacy and dignity. To ensure the care team work responsibly and cohesively by providing them with effective communication, leadership, support, and supervision. To respond to emergencies in line with policies and procedures and to provide support and guidance to staff. Ensure people are always treated fairly. To maintain and update their knowledge and skills to meet legislative and best practice changes in accordance with the required training.

Leadership
To inspire and guide staff to provide exceptional care in a safe and dignified way by motivating them to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
Support the home manager to promote the home and deliver excellent service, safety, and profitability.
Work effectively and co-operatively as a team member and leader.
Take responsibility for completing all mandatory training, ensure compliance and seek opportunities to continue to learn.
Support training and supervision of junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work.
Demonstrate effective time management by planning and organising to ensure that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard whilst providing exceptional care.
Assist with the effective induction for new staff ensuring all relevant documentation is understood and completed.
Work responsibly to deliver excellent care when leading a shift.
Promote an environment where all people are treated fairly.

Communication
To communicate effectively with clarity, empathy, and respect for others.
To promote the emotional wellbeing of people who need care and support.
To develop excellent rapport with those living and working in the home and its visitors. Being respectful and courteous at all times.
