Job Description

A well- established care organisation are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join their new supported living service in Bridport.

Main Duties
You will be running the shifts, supervising and training staff and sharing your care knowledge with support workers. You will be responsible for ensuring staff are performing their roles to the highest possible standards. Ensuring all records are kept up to date and care plans are followed. You will be caring for young adults who have learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour and epilepsy. You will work with experienced support workers and report to the manager. You will be helping them with their daily routines such as dressing, washing, and personal care as well as taking part and encouraging involvement in the activities whether this is out in the community and on within the home.

Contract: 40 hours + 1-2 sleep ins per week
Hourly Rate: £9.35 per hour, £61 per sleep
Hours: 7am - 4pm, 9am -4pm, 4pm -10pm. Sleep ins are 10pm - 7am.

Qualifying Candidates
" 1+ years` experience in care and knowledge of autism/ learning disabilities
" NVQ/QCF Level 3
" Supervisory experience
" Medication and Epilepsy trained
" Driver with your own transport
