** Senior Support Worker **

** Northampton, Northamptonshire **

** Permanent & full time **

** £23,213 increasing to £25,294 after probation**

** Average of 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 weekends off **

** Working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties within a residential setting **

BS Social Care are looking for a Senior Support Worker with a minimum of 2 years' experience based in Northampton, Northamptonshire to work a permanent and full-time role supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties within a residential setting to providing advice, care and stability for the young people ensuring they are treated equally, whilst promoting positive role-modelling behaviour.

About the job; within this role, you will be responsible for the supervision of a shift and the Residential Youth Support Workers at a Children's Home providing advice, care and stability for the young people ensuring they are treated equally. To coach, support and develop Support Worker's within their role. Demonstrate to the young people the value of education, care and development so that they improve behaviour and understand behaviour expected by being a positive role model. Produce, maintain and distribute house paperwork to ensure relevant information is recorded accurately and is available. To provide basic advice and skills to young people on managing their finances and other everyday life skills

About the ideal candidate; you will hold a QCF Level 3 or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' experience to apply for this role. You will need to be able to work within a shift pattern on an average of 40 hours per week with a minimum of 1 sleep in per week. The shifts are as follows; early, 7.30am - 3.30pm and late; 2.30pm - 10.30pm. You will also work 2 weekends out of 3 which consist of 7.30am - 10.30pm. You will be able to provide a compassionate but authoritative attitude with a passion for the role. You will need to show enthusiasm and be personable while creative and understanding.

For this full time and permanent role, they will offer you a permanent full time contract paying £23,213 increasing to £25,294 after completing your 6 month probation alongside; 28 days annual leave, pay progression and high street discounts and reloadable cards. You will be working an average of 40 hours per week, 1 sleep in per week and 2 in 3 weekends, the shifts are; early 2.30pm - 10.30pm. You will receive training throughout your role including; modular training programme prior to commencement of role, monthly formal professional supervision, on-going continuous professional development
