Job Description

I am actively seeking a skilled, compassionate child centred Senior Child Care Practitioner to join a lovely and supportive children's service in NOTTINGHAM, this service provides essential and valuable care to children and young people aged 8 to 17 years who have complex, mental health and EBD needs.

You will become a pivotal part of an established, care focused organisation who is committed to making a difference to the lives of the young people they support. A forward-thinking organisation, this is reflected in their work practices, training and professional development.

Working closely with the registered and deputy manager, and effectively leading a team of care and support staff, you will deliver care and support in line with both OFSTED and company guidelines. You will provide a nurturing and therapeutic environment which fosters emotional, social and physical wellbeing and development.

Within your role as a Senior Child Care Practitioner, you will lead shifts and offer direct support to the staff team. Staff supervisions, report writing, care and support planning and behaviour management are all a key part of the senior support worker role.

For your support and commitment, your salary will be between £24,941 to £27,176 including your complex care and sleep in allowance and depending on your experience. You will also get a holiday allowance and pension plan, as well as career development and the opportunity to complete your NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

To be successful within this role you must have at least 12 months experience in children's services and hold your QCF level 3 in children's residential or want to complete your QCF Level 3. Be a driver.
