This specialised Manufacturing organisation, based in Manchester are seeking a hands on Technical Engineer to lead the technical team of engineers and chemists in delivering application-specific technical support.

You will be delivering expert technical support to customers on issues ranging widely from regulatory compliance, environmental impact, to in service maintenance.

Writing and presenting technical material, (white papers, conference presentations) to support Commercial and Marketing outreach plans, informally, through global travel in support of commercial client visits
Develop strategic relationships with key international players in the transformer industry. Delivering and maintaining technical messages around the products.


You will have contacts with the Commercial and Manufacturing Teams, Lab team, Customers, External academics and Technical Experts, Professional and Trade organizations, Suppliers and Service companies, Consultants and Government
agencies

For this role, our client is looking for someone who understands and has working knowledge of high voltage systems, fluids and transformers and who understands the markets. Understanding of regulations and compliance. You should have the ability to discuss and explain abstract technical concepts. Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Chemistry. Some supervisory experience is also required

Some global travel will be required (around once a month)China, Middle East, India and Africa. It's an office based role so you should live within a commuting distance of Manchester.
