Job Description

I am recruiting for a Senior Web Developer (full-stack knowledge) for my client who is based close to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company who are at the top of their industry and are offering a competitive package.

The Role
You will be responsible for the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the backend, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be leading a team and ensuring the successful integration of the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; a basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.

The Company
You will be joining a small in-house team responsible for Back-End Web Development managing the interchange of data between the server, 3rd party partners and users.

- Software and development
- Coding
- Management of internal servers
- Development and management of websites which will include regular deployment duties.

Person Specification
- Experience working in a similar role
- Back end development
- Front end development
- Operating systems: Linux- and Unix-like operating systems, MacOS X, Windows Server
- Server-side programming languages
- Experience in Linux Servers and AWS
- Experience of frameworks ideally Laravel
- Knowledge of using back-end frameworks to build server-side software
- Strong knowledge of API`s (SOAP, XML and REST)
- Configuring, debugging, securing, and maintaining a AWS and local instance
- Cloud computing integration
- Used enterprise design patterns
- Service Oriented Architectures
- Configuring SSOs and integration with third-party services

Desirable
- Git source control - Bitbucket would be ideal
- Google maps API
- Mobile development
