Job Description

  • Service administrator - NHS Digital
  • Location: Leeds City Centre
  • Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)
  • Pay: £13.12ph
  • Mainly home working but would need to attend office based in Leeds, London or Southport once per month. Travel expenses paid.

This is an long term ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.

About the role:
The Service requires an administrator to handle multiple sources of information, producing a range of products and services to ensure robust and effective service delivery to internal and/or external customers. The post is responsible for ensuring relevant quality and other service standards are met in a demanding and complex environment. The role will operate with a significant degree of autonomy and will be able to prioritise their own work in order to meet organisational business objectives and key performance indicators.

Reporting to the Business Controls Manager, the incumbent will manage the administrative requirements of the TRE to ensure an effective work environment. It involves but is not limited to:

  • Planning, organising, delivery, administration and secretariat duties for meetings
  • Tracking and reporting key monitoring activity relating to Operational Level Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, root cause analysis, Risks and Issues
  • Being the first point of call for mailbox enquiries and ensuring relevant people are informed
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new customers and TRE staff
  • Providing support for the TRE?s Senior Management Team by conducting activities around effective workflow processing or Service reporting
  • Meeting and diary management, supporting with internal mailbox
  • Minute taking and carrying out actions

Skills and experience:

  • Working Knowledge of the importance of information governance, i.e. maintaining the confidentiality of information, storing information in the right place and making sure information is recorded clearly and accurately
  • Working knowledge of Data Protection Legislation
  • Awareness of the terminology used within the health and social care system.
  • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint.
  • Understanding of the concepts of risk and issue management.
  • Working knowledge of various project management practices and methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, SCRUM or equivalent experience.
  • Responsibility for Communications and Stakeholder Management
  • Experience of effective internal and external stakeholder management
  • Strong customer service background
