6 Month Temp to Perm at £9.00 p/hr then £20,000 to £22,000 once made permanent + Manufacturer training + Holiday + Pension

A Service and Maintenance Engineer is required for a very successful pad printing company who provide products to the UK and Ireland and can offer an excellent long term career as well as exceptional training opportunities in Germany. The role is a 6 month Temp to Perm job, and working days will be Mon - Fri.

The Service and Maintenance Engineer role will suit candidates from ANY technical background who have good mechanical knowledge and a good, hands-on approach. Candidates from site based roles, military backgrounds and commercial mechanical backgrounds with a good knowledge of pneumatic machines ability to read technical drawings are encouraged to apply. Full manufacturing training will be provided in Germany.

The role will be mostly based in the Camberley warehouse, servicing, maintaining and repairing machines in house and planning service schedules. Travel to clients will be required for installation of new machines, annual service to existing clients and a fair amount of reactive breakdown repair. The servicing will be mostly mechanical but knowledge of Jig-Making and manufacturing will be beneficial to assist in taking machines apart to service, clean and maintain. There will be a number of trips to Ireland to carry out installation and repairs. All overseas work is fully expended and booked well in advance.

The successful candidate will need to be pro-active and willing to learn, able to work on own initiative, well presented, friendly and approachable and confident working at large manufacturing sites and small independent companies. You will also need to be confident working within a small team of 3 as well as individually.

You will be responsible for maintaining and servicing pad printing machines in-house as well as on-site for various clients throughout the UK and Ireland. Driving license is required and a company car will be provided for travel during working hours. You must also have your own set of basic tools required to carry out the jobs.
