Our client is based in the Durham area and is looking for someone to join their existing team, initially on a temporary basis, but there could be the potential to move to a permanent position in due course. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has strong IT knowledge and who is used to supporting clients remotely and is looking to work within the public sector. The role will for the time being be homebased, but as things improve there may be a requirement to work from the office.
Our client deals with the central functions of a Government Department and your role will be responsible for the timely resolution of incidents and the fulfilment of customer requests. Issues will be raised by customers and stakeholders who are part of the wider Government Department across the North of England. You will undertake various duties that sit with the position, which will include, but not be limited to:
Deliver excellent Customer Service to all users and stakeholders
Take ownership of customer requirements and be as pro-active as possible
Provide an informative and knowledgeable response to all reported situations
Have the capacity to understand complex facts or situations requiring analysis and resolution for IT technical issues
Involvement in any project work as required within the business
Any administrative requirements that link to the above
This role is initially on a temporary basis working 37.5 hours a week. The pay rate will be £12.74 p/h.
The successful candidate should ideally have outstanding Customer Service skills, and a good knowledge of IT systems and have experience of providing remote support to customers and stakeholders. They should also have excellent communication skills and be well organised as well as being able to use their own initiative.
