Service Logistics Manager required for a fast growing business based in Inverness.
This position will support the business in minimising risk and keeping people, assets and the environment safe from harm by applying HSE strategy, advice, guidance, training and reporting for the business to UK and European colleagues.
The candidate must demonstrate effective leadership, engage and work cooperatively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You are expected to be results driven, proactive, flexible and structured.
Team management of Distribution Centre and Returns Centre emloyees
Implementing the service logistics strategy
Controlling and optimising the inventory and stock levels
Establishing transport costs and follow up of forwarders services quality
Insuring the implementation of health and safety operational procedures
Inventory count and co-ordination for the Distribution Centre, service stations and vehicles
Management and distribution of consumables under COSHH regulations
Ordering of materials and maintaining minimum stocks
Local procurement of specific parts and consumables
Purchasing of tools and equipment for the service vehicles
Communicating with other branches re: materials, management issues and problems
Reporting of material management issues and problems to line manager and operations manager
Knowledge, Experience and qualifications required:
Microsoft Office Applications, SAP, IOS Operating Systems (iPad, iPhone etc)
Warehouse/Distribution Centre/Stock Management/Procurement experience
Valid forklift license (would be an advantage)
Able to demonstrate and maintain exceptional organisational and communications skills across a range of levels and departments
