Job Description

Due to growth and expansion a position has arisen for a Site Maintenance person to join an established team within a large and oversubscribed secondary school.

As one of a team of 4 you will ensure that the school's building, facilities and grounds are in proper working order and reorganised as changing needs require.

You will help to maintain a safe working environment for all users of the facility, carry out minor repairs and maintenance and work as required often on demand to support everyone on site.
The role also involves responsibility for the security of the buildings, carrying out security checks and ensuring all fire safety and health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Reporting to the Senior Site Manager and working closely with the School Business Manager - we are looking to appoint a self-motivated, reliable and proactive individual with an understanding of safeguarding and how you contribute to this.

The successful candidate will have well developed practical skills, some knowledge of site / facilities related issues, be organised and able to work to deadlines and on their own initiative as no day will be the same.

£11.24 per hour
